Hollywood comes to Milwaukee’s lakefront, and Lake Michigan is a co-star.
WISN 12 News reporter Terry Sater talked with the locally grown producer who brought a couple of familiar movie stars in to tell a compelling story.
It’s all hands on deck for this movie being made in Milwaukee with “Lord of the Rings” and “Rudy” star Sean Astin joining another familiar movie face, Chris Mulkey, on Lake Michigan.
“We’re having a ball. The idea that you’d come to a place and shoot an entire movie out on the water is insane. But we thought Lake Michigan will treat us well, and Milwaukee’s been great,” Astin said.
“I love it. The restaurants are great. Every restaurant is more than welcoming and the food is great. And the people are great. And they have beer here. And they must have too much beer because I always get like two beer. It’s happy hour every where I go,” Mulkey said.
